In life we encounter constant changes. Unexpected incidents make it impossible to go back to the way it used to be. The former life dissolves into fragments. It often takes much effort to reconstruct a new, different life. The fragments need to be put together in another way. The belief in ourselves, our inner force gives us the strength to deal with loss, separation and painful experiences.

My work discusses the process of breaking down and falling apart and the need of rebuilding. It shows the search for comfort and the belief to emanate, invigorated from sorrow and doubt. I see, burn and break the materials to recompose them in another way. I cover, hide and protect them so I am able to saw, burn and break them once more. I rearrange constantly and find beauty and value in destruction. The faith of bringing it to a good end is my driving force.
